The mission of this archive is to be a central library of images and information on the history of cereal boxes, and their related premiums.
Unlike other well-documented pop-culture collectibles, such as baseball cards or comic books, the history of cereal boxes remains comparatively unexplored and undocumented. By providing the ability for visitors and collectors to contribute images of their own boxes, this effort will be an open-source archive. Our aim is to expand the knowledge base shared by individual collectors, and in time, the "fossil record" of cereal boxes will begin to fill-in and make itself known to anyone with a web-browser.
The archive will also serve as a place for the curious or nostalgic to revisit the cereal packaging of old, and allow a glimpse into the changes and evolutions within our consumer culture.
New users are encouraged to sign up and start uploading pictures of their collection. All we ask is that the boxes/premiums you submit were produced prior to 1990 and that the images, themselves, are clean, crisp & of a decent resolution (750 x 1000 minimum) and please try and keep the place tidy. Also, photos and scans must be your own - do not post photos found on other websites or eBay.
